Roe v Wade 2007

Today marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and being a pro-life advocate, I figured I'd actually post somthing truely worthwhile in the blogosphere...

Being immersed in an extremely liberal society this past year has made me define more precisely my moral values, and made me a stronger defender of them. And I can say with 100% dedication; Yes, I'm Catholic. Yes, I'm conservative. And yes, I'm pro-life. (somewhere right now, a liberal just got a headache and they don't know why...)
Sometimes it seems that its a major faux pas to openly admit to believing in something moral...

Human beings undoubtly have a divine spark that seperates us from the rest of the animal kingdom. I believe that art and music are prime examples of our divinity. But when do we receive that spark? Is it at birth? Conception? Before then? Nobody truely knows... so who are we to cut that spark, that life, short? I cannot see those ultrasounds and not think that that's a living tiny human being... full of potential and life.

Yes, I believe that a fetus is a human being. And terminating the life of a human is murder. So therefore; abortion is murder... there is no way of sugarcoating or
euphanismizing that. Try as some might.

Every year approximatly 26 million abortions are performed legally worldwide... Right now I'm sure any advocate reading this is screaming "what about rapes and incest?!?!" Yes yes, they always bring that up... I believe that rape and incest are horrible crimes and should be punished, but I don't believe that a child conceived from either should be killed, plus... it's blatantly obvious that rape and incest don't account for all 26 million abortions... those are all from a mixture of poor choices, promiscuity,
unfaithful partners, ect. There's no doubt that pregnancy is a huge change and consequence... and unfortunatly women are the ones that receive that consequence directly... that's just the way it is...

To be blunt, in my humble opinion, if you're not ready to accept the vast consequences of pregnancy, then don't spread your legs honey... contrary to popular belief, sex is primarily for repopulation... pleasure second.

Go ahead, yell away at me, how DARE I suggest what people should and should not do with their sex lives, how politically-incorrect... shame on me...
