In lieu of paying attention to my Lighting teacher's lecture on fog effects in Maya (pshhh, silly Maya, awesome people use Max), I stand before you a bored and tired woman in need of a muffin and coffee (look at the time of this post! 8 am! 8-fricken-am!! Do you know what that means? That means I had to get up at 6 to get ready and commute to class! 6 does NOT land anywhere in my normal waking hours!)
Nothing that a trip to the coffee cart can't fix.
Anyways, aside from un-godly waking hours on wednesdays, things are looking pretty good. iWin is still rocking my socks off, we're going gold with our latest game Garden Defense, and soon we'll start production of our next game (what is it, you may ask? well I can't tell you, nanner nanner!) In a bit, I'll be allowed to post the game art I made for Garden Defense, that'll be exciting!
Classes are going pretty good too, just getting stressful (remind me to never have a double dose of Rhodes again...) Guess who's gonna be all graduated this spring? Yikes! Concept art class is tons of fun, we're finished with all the thumbnail sketches, so now on to polishing! I 'spose I should learn to properly digitally paint, right now my fave way to color is scanning a messy sketch, importing some texture, and whoring the photoshop layer effects. Vivid light for the win! What can I say? Sometimes I'm too attached to the initial sketch to completely cover it up in paint...
Sooo for those of you that don't know, my birfthday happens to land of Thanksgiving (yup, I'm a turkey, gobble gobble!!) Now I really do enjoy being a turkey, but the problem is getting my buds together to celebrate, because the weekend of my birthday, everyone's out of town (as they should be, naturally, family is always important!) So, the eternal question I face every year is when the heck should I celebrate?? Me thinks this year we're just gonna go out to eat Friday night, then hit some pubs on the Ave in the U-district (Earl's for the win!) Oh darn, looks like I'll have to celebrate a week straight....
Alright, I'd better look productive now, time to turn on bobblehead mode for my Lighting class (smile and nod, smile and nod)
oh btw, read my sis's latest rant on games, couldn't write it better myself! Making a funny!!!
